Revenge of the Sith

Quick thoughts: I don't have anything to say that hasn't already been said (the positive things that were said... the negative reviews aren't getting some of the point of this film...), just this:




There is one shot that still hangs in my mind: it is a wide angle pull-out as Yoda and Palps are fighting on the podium as it rises into the main Senate chamber. That chamber is the galaxy, and the two Masters of Good and Evil are competing for control of the galaxy, fighting each other at the center. The music is rising as we pull back, and realize the scope and epic import of the battle occurring.

When I first heard that the fight was going to be in the Senate, I was like 'What the hell? That's gonna be so dumb!' But that shot makes it all so much more symbolic! It, to me, makes the Yoda/Palps duel more important than the Vader/Obi-Wan battle on Mustafar.

I loved this film. And that is what it is, a film. The Star Wars series was considered 'popcorn movies', but Revenge of the Sith changes all of that. These are now FILMS, art that tells an epic story.

Ticking clock says...

23 hours, 14 minutes, and 10 seconds till Revenge of the Sith opens wide on the West Coast. I'll be seeing it at the AMC Riverpark Square 20 in downtown Spokane - sorry Regal Cinemas (my employers), the AMC is just such a nice place to see a movie! Well, until the new Riverstone 14 is finished in downtown Coeur d'Alene!! Can't wait to see that place; brand-new projectors, new EVERYTHING!!!!

The End is near - I can feel it

Well, this time tomorrow, I will be HOME!!! And all I can say is "It needs to be sooner!!!"

I need to stop complaining about things that I absolutly no control over, I really do.

And, is it weird that I just realized that today is Friday the 13th? Odd.

120 hours to go...

That's right - only five days till I go back home for the summer! But why must these days take so long to go by?

Ah well... I need the time to pack up all the crap in my dorm room anyway.

And I have only two finals this week - how can I not agree with that?

What the Crap is happening?

When did it become 'annoying' to talk in a public place? Some damn junior year music student thinks that my talking to OTHER PEOPLE at the Theory Table (in the music building)is a MORTAL SIN to him. What the **** - did he think I was trying to purposly distract him from doing some work, while I talked about RELEVENT THINGS with people that were about to go through what I had just done - the Ear Training piano final (which I did so-so on... but that's another post). Where does he get off thinking that he and tell us what to do? I don't know about him, but I have the ability to BLOCK OUT OTHER PEOPLE WHEN I AM TRYING TO WORK, and at that same table, no less!! I don't tell people that are annoying me that they are annoying - I either slip my headphones on and listen to some music, or I ignore whatever conversations are going on, leaving me in some kind of quiet, peaceful void that allows me to work!

I am waiting for the time to leave for the Music Building - the damn Ear Training piano improv final is waiting for me.... May God have mercy on my soul!!

Also started packing up today - the posters are off the ceiling, the pictures off of the walls. Next up is the books and DVDs, and other random crap, then the heavy stuff. Next saturday, I will be posting from home for the next three months. W00t!!!

It Is Finished

I have completed the last assignment for Theory of Music II - Lesson 27, extra credit.

Now, it isn't as good as some others' books, but mine has been finished to the best of my abilities.

All I have left is my Aural Skills pinao final and my 3D Modelling final scene...
